What SDC offers
SDC has been running since 1999 and is the best known name in the lifestyle. Beyond profiles and SDC Messenger, its website lists swinger parties and clubs, party reviews, groups, guides, podcasts and videos. The travel side is strong: members can see who is travelling to their area, browse lifestyle-friendly BNBs and use a network of partner businesses, some of which offer SDC members discounts on entry or rooms. The iPhone app lists a travel calendar, local social events, forums and video messaging. The trade-off is volume. What Kasidie offers
Kasidie describes itself as a community for couples, singles and groups in the lifestyle. Its signature is the Certified Members programme. A couple can send a photo of both partners holding a sign with their username and the date, be certified by a certified member or club owner who has met them, or be certified in person by Kasidie staff at one of its events. Certified profiles show a gold seal and unlock extra tools such as chat rooms and video chat. Kasidie lists lifestyle parties from house parties to hotel takeovers and lets members post travel plans. Which should you choose
Choose SDC if you want an app on both iPhone and Android, a busy calendar of parties and club nights, and lifestyle travel such as BNBs and destination events. Couples who travel often get the most from it.
Choose Kasidie if being certified matters to you, you like the idea of vouching and being vouched for by people you have met, and you would rather use a website than an app.
Try both if you are not sure. Many couples keep profiles on two sites. Search your own area on each and look at how recently people near you have been active before choosing a longer plan.
